Keep The Babies Coming!

So many babies have been coming my way these days. I think I would have to thank my new baby muse, Jonah, for that. I started watching him for his mommy when he was 10 weeks old. He turned 5 months on Dec. 26. It's nice having a baby I can practice on any old time I feel like it. And hey ... Ellie is still my toddler muse, but thanks to Jonah, I have had the opportunity to showcase some of my baby talent via my FaceBook page.

My new gal pal Shea Kimbro who makes beautifully knitted and crocheted baby props/items has been a big help too. We bounce business off of each other these days. (Look her up under "Cowgirl Bling By Shea" on FB). If it weren't for her and my cousin Marietta I wouldn't have had the opportunity to take pictures of one of the most precious baby girls I've seen in some time. Little Miss Lydia, and she was a sweetheart! Quite photogenic. Can't wait to have another session with her!

I've also been offering free sessions to newborns which gave me the opportunity to shoot Little Mr. Jacob; he was a little grumpy but that was okay. You have to expect that with baby photography. They are really the ones in control. He got okay after the first prop change though, and I think some real diamonds developed.

I also gave a free session to little Miss Torunn. She was only 10 days at the time and so really wanted nothing to do with the whole idea except to sleep ... face down for the most part unfortunately, but I still think a few photos of here also turned out good.

My next project is to offer some complimentary sessions for expectant mothers. I am presently looking for a 5-7 month expectant mother of a girl. If you know anyone please refer them to me. The session is totally free to them; it's meant to give me a little practice with some new equipment.

Babies aren't my only skill however, so I'm thinking of offering a really good deal to one happy couple who may be having a winter wedding. Please, if you know anyone getting hitched anytime soon please refer them to me as well.

Til next time ...
